    "The Music Man" (Roud ) is a popular cumulative folksong among children, rugby players, and Hash House Harriers. History. Peter Kennedy published a song called "The German Musicianer" in "Folk Songs of Britain and Northern Ireland" (). It has some similarities with this song.
